WANT TO HEAR MORE?
When Judy was 8 years old, her biological father told her she was a "Mistake." Judy became an actress and a published author, creating worlds where people laughed, had fun and cared about each other. She became known for her storytelling, comedy and sense of humor. It was clear to Judy that she wanted to help other "Mistakes" like her.
In college, Judy studied Theater, Communications and Education. When she graduated with her BA from North Park College, in Chicago, IL., she looked for a teaching job. She was told that schools wanted teachers with Master's degrees and experience. So she went to Northern IL. University and in 4 years, she had her Master's degree plus teaching experience. Now, schools wanted teachers with a bachelor's degree and no experience.
Judy was a volunteer staff member with Youth for Christ, led her church's high school youth group and was a substitute teacher for 3 years. After she found a full-time position, Judy taught English and Speech and directed plays for the next 12 years. Though she loved teaching, there were no jobs so she became an Account Executive for AT&T in Chicago, IL., where she won sales and management awards until the company split. Finally, she became a Training Director, where she was praised for her outstanding classes and presentations, but once again, her job was eliminated.
God used all the pain and setbacks in Judy's life to make her a caring, compassionate, loving person with a great sense of humor. Judy was no longer a mistake; God had made her Unmistakable!
Judy continues to serve the Lord with gusto and creativity as a Speaker, Actress and published Author. She has directed 4 Drama ministries and has been a Sunday School teacher for 59 years. On Tuesday mornings, you can find Judy at Community Bible Study. For 60 years, she has been singing praise to the Lord as a choir member and has spent 4 summers touring Germany, Austria, England and Scotland with her church choir.
For 30+ years, Judy has been a member of the Orchard Evangelical Free Church in Arlington Hts., IL. She served as a short term missionary to Borne, Germany; teaching in the local high school, speaking in churches and supporting the European Billy Graham Crusade. For the past 6 years, Judy has taught "English as a Second Language" to Japanese Ladies through the multi-cultural ministry of her church.
Judy loves helping people and making them laugh. As Jeremiah says, God had a plan for Judy and He still does! God has helped Judy make meaning out of her pain and she wants to share how you can do that, too. Let Judy show you how to go from being a mistake to Unmistakable!
